  2. Tap your browser's menu and select "Add to Home Screen" or a similar option.
  3. Follow the prompts to create a shortcut on your home screen.
  4. Access the PWA like a regular app from your home screen.
  5. Open the PWA, sign in again, and follow the prompts to enable notifications.

If you are unable to load the map on your device, check to ensure location permission is enabled:
  1. Android: Open the Settings app and navigate to Apps > Select your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) > Permissions and ensure “Location” is toggled on
  2. iOS: Open the Settings app and navigate to Privacy & Security > Location Services > Safari Websites and ensure “While Using the App” is selected

MY LOCATION ON THE MAP IS NOT ACCURATE WHAT DO I DO?

WHAT PHOTOS CAN I POST?
Because BKDR is web based and is not restricted by guidelines set by app stores, our moderation guidelines are able to reflect standards more aligned with the queer community. We reserve the right to remove public profile photos and/or text that is outside of these guidelines at our discretion.
For more information please refer to our Profile Guidelines.

WHAT DO THE SYMBOLS ON PROFILE PHOTOS ON THE MAP REPRESENT?
  1. Green Dot: The user is active and online
  2. Amber Crescent: The user is idle
  3. Blue Square: The user has been offline for longer than 6 hours, but you share some common interests with them
  4. Red Dot with Black Triangle: The user has a profile video active

WHY ARE SOME PROFILES HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE?
When you see a profile highlighted in blue, it means that they are offline but share some common interests with you.

WHY ARE SOME PROFILES HIGHLIGHTED IN RED?
Profiles highlighted in red indicate users with temporary status and/or photos/video taken from our in-browser camera. This content is active for 24 hours.

WHAT ARE PINNED PHOTOS?
Using the pinned photos feature, you can highlight a specific photo as your primary one. All subsequent photos will appear from newest to oldest.

Note: You don't have to pin any photos. If you don't, all photos will appear from newest to oldest.

WHY ARE SOME OF THE PROFILES LARGER THAN OTHERS?
If you upload a profile photo, your icon becomes larger. Users who upload a photo/video from our in-browser camera (accessible from the “lightning bolt” icon) have an even larger, red-highlighted profile, visible for 24 hours.
WHAT IS THAT RED FLASHING LIGHTNING BOLT?

The red flashing lightning bolt allows you to post a temporary status and/or photo/video from our in-browser camera. These posts will be active for 24 hours.

Note: The in-browser camera is required for any photos or videos you upload to a temporary status.

WHAT IS ANONYMOUS MODE?
Anonymous mode allows you to access a limited set of features on BKDR for 24 hours. You can view profiles, chat, and post temporary status and/or photos/videos. After 24 hours of inactivity, your anonymous profile, chat history, and posted content are permanently deleted.

Note: To have continued access, register your profile by confirming your email and setting a password.

HOW CAN I UNBLOCK A PROFILE?
You can manage blocked profiles by going to Settings > Account Settings > Manage Blocks > View List.
